Visit our Saturday Adoption Days! Small Angels Rescue will be here Saturday, Sept. 11 and Sept. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon with their adorable pocket pets. Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue will be here Saturday, Sept. 18 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with dogs available to foster or adopt!!

Labor Day Weekend: the office will be closed starting Saturday, Sept. 4 through Tuesday, Sept. 7 and will reopen on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Phone messages will be checked regularly and calls of an emergency nature will be handled promptly.

On Wednesday, September 15, the FCHS will hold its monthly Pet Bereavement session for people grieving the loss of a beloved pet. Session is at 7 p.m. Call to register, 301-694-8300 ext. 0.

Held the third Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. and facilitated by professors and grad students from Hood College's School of Thanatology,
these sessions are offered to help those who have suffered the loss of a beloved pet or are facing the imminent passing of one.
No fee but please call to register so that we can let the good folks from Hood know how many to expect.
