Without the help of all our Volunteers, Sponsors and Supporters, we would not be able to provide the level of assistance to pet owners and the pets in the community.

Here are some of the ways you can get involved:

Volunteer with us.

Some of the Volunteer opportunities that are available:

  • Helping at our quarterly rabies/microchip clinics
  • Managing our donation cans around the county
  • Collecting pet food donations for our Emergency Pet Food Bank
  • Humane Education speaking opportunities in classrooms or at scouting meetings
  • Office help on a project basis
  • Planning committees for major events such as Walk-N-Wag
  • Meeting and greeting the public on our behalf at community outreach activities

If you would like to find out more and become a volunteer, please complete our Volunteer Application and submit it to us.  An application can be picked up at our office, or downloaded HERE . We welcome new faces! Again, thank you for your help!

Become an FCHS member.

One of the many ways you can help is to become a member of the Frederick County Humane Society now and help the residents of Frederick County and their pets. Get an Application Now! You can also sign up online by following this link.

Become a Donor.

No gift is too small, and most gifts are tax deductible under IRS guidelines. As a non-profit, 501(C)3 organization, we rely on donations, grants, membership and volunteers to keep our operations and programs running smoothly.

We can accept on-line payments through Network for Good. This will accept major credit cards, and will automatically email your receipt.

Your Business can help you be a Sponsor.

Consider selecting the Frederick County Humane Society as a charity of choice at your business this year. We would be glad to make a presentation to you and/or your employees to tell you more about our organization. It’s also a wonderful way for your employees to learn about ways they can become involved as members and volunteers of the FCHS.
