Dog Training
Training is essential to establishing a healthy, lasting bond between dogs and their families.
The FCHS offers clients a choice of dog training classes.
Puppy classes are being offered by Maxine Medaglia and John Trobaugh, local Bark Busters dog trainers and behaviorists. For class descriptions and more information, contact them at frederickco@barkbusters.com or call 301-271-3030. For more about them, go to this article in the Frederick News Post:
We also recommend www.openpaw.org as an excellent source for learning more about positive reinforcement training, as well as basic pet care. Widely respected veterinarian and animal behaviorist Dr. Ian Dunbar helped found Open Paw and is a member of the board of directors.

To help with the training of your dog, Sense-ation Harnesses, Alpine and Hands-Free leashes and Martingale collars may be purchased at below-retail prices at the Frederick County Humane Society.
